Frequently asked
You do not need to determine that on your own. The treatments available through Fountain address different concerns, including weight and metabolic health, hormonal health, sexual health, cognitive function, energy, recovery, and healthy aging. A Fountain clinician reviews your symptoms, health history, medications, goals, and other relevant factors before determining whether a treatment is appropriate. Depending on what you are experiencing, your clinician may also recommend laboratory testing or a different approach altogether. The goal is to choose treatment based on your individual health needs, not simply the medication you initially selected.
Yes. Fountain's treatments are clinician-guided and are not prescribed automatically because someone selects a medication online. Your clinician will review your medical history, current medications, symptoms, treatment goals, and relevant safety considerations before prescribing. Some treatments may also require laboratory testing or additional evaluation. If the treatment you initially selected is not the right fit, your clinician can discuss other options with you.
We take pharmacy selection seriously. Before working with a compounding pharmacy, our team evaluates the people, processes, quality standards, and documentation behind the medications our patients receive. We have visited pharmacy facilities, met directly with their teams, reviewed their quality processes, and evaluated documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (COAs) as part of our diligence. We also look at factors such as testing, consistency, sourcing, and the pharmacy's approach to quality control. For Fountain, the pharmacy is part of the clinical care process, not simply a fulfillment vendor.
Fountain is not built as a medication-first telehealth platform. Medication may be part of your care, but it sits within a broader clinical model designed to understand what may actually be contributing to how you feel. Depending on your needs, your care can involve physicians, mental health clinicians, nutrition support, fitness guidance, and other members of Fountain’s multidisciplinary team. We may also look at biomarkers, hormones, metabolic health, sleep, body composition, nutrition, exercise, medications, and other relevant factors when they can help clarify the clinical picture. The difference is that these areas are not treated as disconnected services. Fountain’s clinicians can work around the same patient, share information, and build one coordinated plan that evolves as your health, symptoms, and goals change. The goal is not simply to prescribe a medication and refill it. It is to understand the larger picture and use the right combination of care to help you improve.
Fountain currently offers these treatments to patients located in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Texas. We are continuing to expand into additional states as our clinicians obtain new licenses. If you do not see your state listed, contact us. Our coverage is growing, and our team can let you know whether treatment is currently available or expected to become available soon.
Your care does not end when the medication arrives. Depending on the treatment, follow-up may include clinician visits, symptom tracking, laboratory testing, body-composition measurements, side-effect monitoring, or adjustments to your treatment plan. The type and frequency of monitoring will depend on the medication and your individual health needs. The purpose of follow-up is to determine whether treatment is actually helping, whether it remains appropriate, and whether anything should change as your health and goals evolve.
